updated March 15th, 2021

REGISTRATION /ENTRIES

  • We accept all styles of dance. You may select your appropriate genre category during registration.

  • You will receive 3 video critiques from our esteemed panel of judges.

  • All dancers will compete in divisions specific to their amount of training hours per week; Novice, Part Time, Full Time as well based upon their subdivision category ( At Home/ In Studio/ On Stage).

  • Videos must be uploaded through the online link on the registration page. If you are having difficulties uploading, please e-mail us at info@electricdanceexperience.com for alternative ways to submit.

  • You may submit an in-studio, at home or on stage video. They will be judged separately.

  • Costume & presentation will only be judged if the video allows for it. Not having a costume will not reduce your mark.

  • Each judge will score the routine out of 100 and will then be divided by 3 for an average score.

  • Judges may elect to give away special awards to certain entries of their choice. If Judges select same routine for multiple special awards, the dancer will be awarded with all specials from each individual judge.

  • Special award certificates will be delivered as a PDF via email..

  • Dances must be placed in the appropriate style genre to be judged accurately and fairly.

  • No more than 3 acrobatics tricks per routine. Unlimited acrobatics tricks in Acrobatics division only.

  • Cash Prizes will only be awarded to routines who place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in each overall age division.

  • Each age division must have 10+ routines for overall high score cash prizes to be awarded.

  • Cash Award totals will be determined once competition registration is closed.

  • The high score winners' video and/or photo will be listed on our social media.

  • If a dance parent/dancer is submitting any type of entry into our event, you MUST have received previous consent from your studio director/teacher/choreographer to participate (we may request proof).

  • The same dancer(s) cannot compete more than once in the same age group and category in either Solo, Duet/Trio or group competition. This means dancers will never compete against themselves. Please move your entry up an age division or change discipline should this situation arise.

  • Dancers may enter multiple solos into the competition. Should a dancer have more than one solo, each solo must compete in a different category. Only the dancer’s highest ranking solo will be considered for overalls.

  • Please note you are not entered into the competition until full payment for all entries and/or service charged is received.

  • Improv participants will be e-mailed directions once the registration is closed. Improv will be hosted via ZOOM and may be performed in a studio or home environment.
